Who is Nick Dorey?

Nick is now in his 12th year of private practice as a Sports Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork Therapist. He is also a qualified Personal Trainer and has recently received certification in Kinesio Taping.

A former officer in the Metropolitan Police, Nick qualified as a Physical Training Instructor in 1996 then went on to certify with Premier Training as a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. In 1997 he completed the advanced sports massage course with the Fellowship of Sports Massage Therapists.

Nick Running

Nick treats clients from a wide variety of sporting and non-sporting backgrounds ranging from international level runners, cyclists, rowers and triathletes to ‘weekend warriors’. He also designs training programmes for runners and cyclists.

A committed runner and cyclist himself, he has completed 5 marathons, countless half marathons, 10 mile and 10k road races and triathlons as well as several cyclosportives in the Alps and Pyrenees. Nick has represented Great Britain as an age group competitor at the Duathlon World Championships in both 2002 and 2008. This background gives him first hand knowledge of the stresses and strains imposed on the athlete’s body and how they can best be treated.

Nick is dedicated to his work and spends many weekends a year attending workshops and continuation training to improve his knowledge of the treatment of muscles and soft tissues. He is fully insured and a member of both the London and Counties Society of Physiologists , the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council and is a certified Dry Needling practitioner.
